Malik: 12 years old Stateless Child

Hi, my name is Malik, I am 12 years old. I live in Kg. Tanah Merah. In the village, I like to play football because I used to play football. It's fun to sweat and be healthy. I play with friends. We have been hit the market mirrors and people's cars. We also ran because we were afraid of being reported to the police.

And one more thing I don't forget, I always go to surau because I want to be an imam but there was one of my teachers, when I was reciting Al Qur'an with his son, he told his son to teach me but I was still reciting there and then. His son didn't tell me to move to the next page, so I got angry with my teacher.

But my ambition to become a priest is also big. Like my father.

Hai namaku Malik, umurku 12 tahun. Aku tinggal Kg. Tanah Merah. Di kampung, aku suka main bola sebab aku biasa main bola. Siuk (1) keluar peluh dan sihat. Aku main dengan kawan-kawan. Kami pernah terimbat(2) cermin pasar dan juga kereta orang. Kami pun lari sebab takut nanti di riput(3) polis.

Dan satu perkara lagi aku tidak lupa dulu, aku selalu ke surau sebab aku mau jadi imam tapi ada satu guruku,waktu aku mengaji(4) dengan anaknya, dia suruh anaknya ajar aku tapi aku masih mengaji di situ situ. Anaknya tiada suruh aku pindah ke sebelah(5), jadi aku kena marah oleh guruku.

Tapi cita-citaku mau jadi imam juga nanti besar. Macam bapaku.
